Mid City Motors opened its doors on December 26, 2008. We are not your ordinary “Buy Here Pay Here” Company. All of our cars are serviced locally in Hesperia. We do a complete safety inspection, lube oil and filter and smog inspection and take pride in the cars and trucks we sell. We also offer bank and credit union financing and new and used car warranties.

We set ourselves apart from usual motor car dealers by offering service, conditions and prices which are not normally available to the retail/private purchaser of new or used vehicles.

We intend to make the buying process easy and pleasant for our customers by attending to the enquiry in a courteous and professional manner from start to finish.

We intend to build and expand our business by referrer’s base and through word of mouth advertising by satisfied customers.

Bob Rideout

Bob started selling cars in the High Desert in 1976. After several successful months in sales he was promoted. Tom Moffett

Tom Moffett began his business career in 1979 as his family started a business selling used copiers and supplies.  As time went on, the company grew to be the #1 Sharp copier dealer in the nation with three divisions, 8 locations and 185 employees.  After 20 successful years the company was sold.

In the years to follow, Tom set his focus to real estate investing then to developer and builder in four states.

He was looking to get into the auto industry.  As the opportunity came about he chose Hesperia as a location.  He enlisted the support team of Bob Rideout, Frank Pulice and now Rigo Martinez.  They have a combined 93 years experience in the auto industry.  He knew he found the right people and couldn’t pass this opportunity by.

Tom lives in Victorville with his wife and four children.
